Thanks to all that came and saw the band at The Old Shepherd yesterday and experienced the outside acoustic version of our setlist. It’s different, huh? YOU all looked to be enjoying yourselves and that’s what matters most…
We’ve another gig at The OLD Shepherd on the 8th August at 8pm. Be there to appreciate the full girth of TYBURN with our boy, MICKY back on drum duty! Now let’s Really ROCK ‘N ROLL!!
[edit:] Well, well unfortunately the Old Shep gig for the 8th has been cancelled. The next gig is Bar Rumba (28th August - 7.30pm). I know, it’s a long wait for me too but see you there! xx

As you all know, we are playing our first London gig this coming Tuesday. We have been given a 30min slot at a venue on Leicester Square. We are one of three bands and our slot is from 8 – 8:30. The conditions of playing this venue are that we need to bring 20 people through the door in order to get paid, but this isn’t so important to us. What we are really aiming to do is to bring 30 people through the door which means we automatically get a second booking at the venue’s “sister bar” which is Bar Rumba on Shaftesbury Avenue. As a band we are now trying hard to get onto the London circuit so this sort of gig would be really important to us.
So really this is a case of “Tyburn Needs You”! I know that we don’t usually charge entry for our gigs but our hands are tied by the venue on this one. I also know that it is a school night but if you were able to come and support us we would be ever so grateful. We would be finished by 8:30 so you could return home then or if you wanted to hang out with us, the band and a few others are going to hit couple of the bars around the square, hopefully to celebrate our invitation back to Bar Rumba.
Please feel free to print out the concession flyer which is available on our previous post. Alternatively you can contact PR Babe through the usual lines of communication.
We really hope to see you there!

Keep your diaries free for the evening of Tuesday 14th July because we’ve only gone and secured a gig through Dead or Alive promotions for The Comedy, just off Leicester Square!
We’re the first act on at 8pm - make sure you’re there on time as we’ve only got a short slot with which to impress. Here’s where it’s at: The Comedy, 7 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EE
It’s one of those events where if we bring a certain number of people we’ll get a bigger, better venue next time, so we’re going to be pushing hard on the promo for this one guys! We really need your help in getting people along so please tell your work buddies and other friends who live/work in London. It’s perfect for a quick drink in the evening and doesn’t have to be a late night for all those that worry about getting their beauty sleep!
You’ll need a flyer to get a discount on the door so please print this off with extra copies for your mates!
Click on the poster to print the flyer.

Well well well… for any Tyburnites that came along on Friday 12th June to listen to the quality sounds being pumped out by ours truely we thank you! We had an amazing night and hope you did too!
Mr Lancaster certainly enjoyed his birthday folks, which I’m sure was helped along by the appearance of ‘Jennifer’ - a little Russian recruited especially to ensure his night ended with a bang! She did her ‘dance’ to Good In Pink which was awesome, especially when the body lotion came out! There’s been talk amongst the band of getting her to feature at all our gigs… haha.
The pictures from the night are brilliant and definitely worth a look on the facebook fanpage, but here’s a teaser…

Who’s birthday is it next?!….

The original space cadet turns 30!
This Friday we will be christening our very good friend and follwer, Paul James Lancaster’s 30th year on this planet. After much chopping and changing, the event date was finally set to be on the actual day of his brithday which is this Friday 12th June. The high jinks will begin at around 8:30 although we’ve no doubt that the Brithday Boy will be in situ well before this time and most probably be 30 sheets to the wind. Entrance of course is FREE.
Space Commander PJL - Tyburn salute you!

Tyburn have been busy these last few weeks… the gig at the White Bear as part of the Rickmansworth Canal Festival on Sunday 17th May went down really well - a big thank you to all who came along!
~~~~~
On Sunday 24th May we had a last minute call to do an acoustic set over in The Old Post Office (formerly Hogs Head) in Stevenage - we got a great reception from new faces which is always great to see… long may it continue!
Which leads us onto our next bit of news, and that is that we’re hoping to secure a gig in London in July - watch this spaces for updates as we’ll be needing all the support we can get!
~~~~~
Fast becoming a regular to our local circuit, The Bedford Arms have asked us back, and we’re playing there Saturday 30th May so come along and bring your friends so we can spread the Tyburn love.

Okay, so the Bank Holiday weekend is drawing oh so near and we want you to come out and spend your hard earned cash at the bar of The Old Shepherd in Chorleywood, this Saturday night, while we endeavour to seduce your ears and eyes with our classic brand of raunch rock. This is the first time that we’ve played at the Old Shepherd - a venue that was born for music - and of course it is on our doorstep so drink fuelled antics are assured. The pub is a 2-minute walk from both the train station and a taxi rank so excess is truly encouraged on this one.
The Time: 9pm The Place: The Old Shepherd, Chorleywood
Tyburn are here - to come in your ear…
