As you know Wednesday 20th January is our first gig of 2010 and we’re playing at the Water Rats. This however is a double edged sword for us as it is also the last gig that our PR girl Jo Jo will be at before she embarks on her round the world trip. She has pretty much been behind us since we formed back in the winter of 2008 and she will be sorely missed - although sweep stakes are in progress as to how long she will be staying away from us! Anyway, she will be at The Water Rats next Wednesday so come down and give her a farewell drink/hug/kiss or whatever else you think you can get away with…

Wednesday January 20th sees Tyburn’s most important gig to date. We have been asked to support Slaves to Gravity at the world famous venue The Water Rats. Slaves to Gravity are a fantastic new signed band and were winners of Kerrang! Magazine’s 2008 Best British Newcomer award. We checked them out a few weeks ago and saw them unleash a storming set, full of dark, angsty and brooding sounds. The Slaves will be on at 8:00pm followed by our boys in black who grace the stage at 9:00pm. Tickets are £6 through the usual outlets i.e. mail@tyburnonline.com or call 07787 952 160. Thank you to all who braved the cold night air to support us on our first Camden gig. It seems that all of you loved the rustic charm and distressed look of the pubs interior and if the music upstairs wasn’t to your taste, there was certainly an ecclectic mix of tunes being jacked out downstairs. So thanks again and watch this space for news on our next gig in January 2010 where we will be supporting Slaves to Gravity (Kerrang! Magazines Best British Newcomer)

Tyburn @ Punk - Do ya feel lucky?

Okay so on Tuesday 27th October, Tyburn will be making an appearance at one of London’s coolest hang outs, bar Punk in Soho. Now this joint is usually frequented by the likes of Moss, Miller and Geldof (Peaches) - but this night will belong to our boys in black and to you their unstoppable band of followers. Tyburn will be on at 9:00 and as always will be hanging out after for “extra curricula activity”.

YES!! - Tyburn’s back at the Old Shepherd this Sat! It’s always great - the bar owners are superb and we love them! Same fantastic light show, same dirty raw rock sound, new sound system and this time, two bands for the price of one - (Entry is FREE!)

We’re having a support band called The Publics showing us up big from 7.30pm, and rocking you with a set of cover classics to get you in the mood, yes - just like foreplay! We’ll then be hitting the stage at 9pm to rock you some more with our big hairy tunes till 11pm. That’s a long night of music for sure, huh! - Have you got the stamina? Think you can handle it?

Well you can, we know it, that’s why we’re so looking forward to it! Also, if you still haven’t got one we’ll be chucking out free Tyburn badges all night so you can remember what you got up to the night before….

And a LIVE AFTER-PARTY FIRE SHOW follows in the farm gardens where after a night of inebriative consumption, responsible adults engage in a spiral firewalk. This could get tricky…

Okay - so it’s the countdown to our execution of Bar Rumba. The mob are gathering and we want you to be there amongst the crowds to witness the spectacle. The action starts at 7:30 and happy hour is until 9pm where grog is sold at a discounted rate. Take your places at 9:00 and climb the scaffold with us and listen for the hangman’s drum.

Following our previous successful stint at Comedy, Leicester Square, we’re now playing the formidable BAR RUMBA in Shaftesbury Avenue (except this time it’s on a FRIDAY!!). This is an even more important gig in our bid to crack London, and again we need YOU! If successful we get a regular slot at Punk in Soho! Do a google search for this place and tell us you don’t wanna see us play there!! :D

We’ll be hanging out after-set so look forward to a long night in with us! This is after all one of the best clubs in London so - as part of a big Tyburn tribe - surely it’s unmissable!!

One of London’s leading late night music venues is Bar Rumba. It is currently one of London’s most popular clubs and has an amazing atmosphere. Many different kinds of people come here. The music programme ranges from Latin (including Salsa classes) to Funk, House to Drum ‘n’ Bass, and Jazz to R & B + regular live bands.

There are several dance floors and a long narrow bar. Get there early or you’ll have to queue up.

This is a BIG thanks to YOU for making it down for our Dead Or Alive night at the ‘Comedy’ in Leicester Square on Tuesday to watch us play, have a laugh and have a few drinks of course. Some of you had come all the way from Oxford, we really appreciate this!! The gig was a big success and it’s thanks to you, and something about our music, that we’re now invited to play BAR RUMBA in Shaftesbury Avenue on the 28th August!!! It’s gonna be another biggie of course, so keep this night free for a love-in with the band, and one of the best venues in town!! We WILL see you there!! :)
